My Celo Studio

Cello lessons take place in my studio in the 3rd district, which has a pleasant room climate and good acoustics. It is only a 2-3 minute walk from the U3 station Kardinal-Nagel-Platz. If you want to come by car, there is always parking nearby.

For Newcomers

It is exciting to learn to play the cello! At the beginning, many questions are sure to arise. The most important thing is that you don't need any previous knowledge for the trial lesson, not even your own instrument yet. Just come as you are and we will start from there.

I will also help you find the right instrument. I have already assisted many enthusiastic cellists to find their dream instrument, whether for rent or for purchase.

Just choose a suitable date for your trial lesson where we will discuss everything. I'll show you some basics on the cello, and you'll even be able to play a little already.

If you still have questions, please check my FAQ page or contact me directly. I look forward to meeting you!

for children & parents

Learning an instrument like the cello is a wonderful experience and offers numerous developmental benefits for your child. I've been teaching for over 20 years and I've seen my own daughter first-hand how positively music can affect children's development.

From the age of 4, children can immerse themselves in the world of music in a playful and fun way. My approach to teaching young students is based on playful methods that lovingly introduce the child to playing the cello. The focus here is on having fun, because when children enjoy making music, they learn faster and are more motivated.

Cello lessons can not only serve as a nice hobby, but also be a valuable preparation for musical training at a music high school. The cello offers a wide range of musical possibilities and encourages your child's creative development.

You may be wondering if cello lessons are expensive or time-consuming. In fact, it's a lot easier and cheaper than you think. All your child needs for lessons is a suitable cello and the desire to make music. The initial investment in an instrument is manageable, and I am happy to advise you when it comes to choosing the right cello.

For Advanced Students

I will help you to take your cello playing to the next level, whether you are a hobby cellist, student or already a professional. Together we will prepare for entrance exams, competitions, concerts and auditions.

If you decide to study cello, you are welcome to study in my class at the Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna (after a successful entrance examination).

If you want to learn modern playing techniques, I am specialised in that. Or would you like to learn more about e-cello, play with looping and live electronics and produce your own music? Then I have developed a great method to help you.

Tell me what kind of music you enjoy and I will help you become confident, motivated and inspired on the cello.

Online Lessons

Online music lessons have grown in popularity in recent years, opening up a variety of opportunities to learn an instrument like the cello. Personally, I have had over 10 years of online teaching experience and have only positive things to say about it.

You don't need any special equipment: a tablet, laptop or computer is sufficient in most cases to take part in the lessons without any problems. It's amazing how seamlessly teaching can be done this way without having to leave the house.

As for the sound, some providers (e.g. Zoom) have special settings for musicians who prefer the audio over the video. This gives you a particularly detailed sound and allows you to perceive the music better.

Online music lessons are particularly suitable for students who do not live near my music studio or for whom the journey is too difficult.

I am happy to welcome you to my online studio!
